The Tournaments
Multiple player tourneys allow a large group of players to compete with one another towards the goal of winning a portion of a larger prize pool. Tournaments are held based on a schedule that is predetermined. The start time for each tournament as well as other important details can be found inside the Tournament Lobby.

Tournament Lobby
Players can find all of the information they need about specific tournaments inside the application for Rummy Express. Information provided includes the name and ID of the tournament as well as the state for the tournament, the number of players registered for the tournament, the size of prize pool, the specific start time for the tournament, the time remaining for registration, the amount for the required buy-in and how the pool prize will be distributed. You will also be able to register or cancel your registration for a specific tournament.

Registration
Please note the registration period for each tournament is different. The registration period may last for several minutes or could last for several days. You can learn more about the registration period for each tourney by entering its specific lobby. You will need to click on the Register button located on the right side of the screen in order to register. At this time you will be prompted by a popup message to indicate that your registration has been successfully completed. Provided that the tournament is still open to registration, you will be able to cancel your registration simply by clicking the Cancel Registration button, also located on the right side of the screen. The buy-in amount will be credited in full back to your account.

Pool Prize
Please be aware that each tournament features a different amount for the buy-in. There is non buy-in amount for the Freeroll Rummy tournaments. The buy-in amount will be comprised of the stake for the players for that tournament along with a minimal fee that is taken by Rummy Express for facilitating the tourney. The buy-in amount will be deducted from the accounts of the players at the time of registration. The stakes for all registered players will comprise the prize pool from which the winners' shares of the tournament will be taken.

Tournament Seats
The tournament will begin as soon as the status for the tournament moves to Running. Players will automatically transfer to the Rummy Room at this point in order to begin their first round. Seats and tables will be assigned on a random basis to ensure the number of players are evenly distributed among each table.

Playing Chips
Every tourney features a different starting amount. Each player will begin the tourney with an equivalent amount of chips. As the game progresses, players will gain as well as lose chips based on their own individual performance. Players will be eliminated from the tourney when they reach zero chips. Playing chips assist in determining the rank of the players who remain in the tournament. There is no value for the chips outside the tourney.

Tourney Points
Beyond the playing chips, the rank of players will also be based on the amount of their tournament points. Players will receive points for each round based on the following: winner: 3 points, middle place: 2 points, last place: 1 point.

Sharing the Prize
An increasing number of players will lose all of their chips and will thus be eliminated from the tourney as the tourney progresses. At the end of the final round, the remaining four players will play at the Final Table and will be ranked based on their order of elimination. All other remaining players will be ranked based on Tournament Points. Each tournament features its own list that will decide the number of players which are eligible for which portion of the prize pool. Prizes will be distributed among the players at the end of the tournament and once the final rank has been determined.
