The Kalooki 51 Rummy Card Game

The Rummy card game known as "Kalooki 51" is one of the more advanced versions of the classic rummy game. It is fast-paced and offers players the opportunity for some flexibility and extra challenges.

The goal of any game of Kalooki 51 is to be the first to dispose of all cards in the hand, and this is done in one of two ways:

• Going Kalooki – laying down all cards in the hand at one time; or
• Going Out – gradually laying down melds until all cards are disposed of.
  This can be done through complete melds or "building" on existing melds.

In order to use the Going Out format, a player must wait until a meld has a value of 51 before it can be laid on the table, hence the name of the game.
